August 24 Construction Update

Welcome to August construction update. Traders In Purple is pleased to share the following update regarding construction progress at Marin.

In August, the roof slab was poured, topping out the Marin structure. Topping out is a celebratory milestone in the construction process, signifying the completion of the structural phase of the build. Now that the roof slab has been poured, the team have commenced installation of roof electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services. Also on the roof, the lift and fire stair over run is complete. The lift core precast panel / lid is complete and ready to be lifted in place and the team have commenced the building’s fire tanks.

Moving up the building, on Level 1 the joinery and floor tiling is well underway with electrical fit off complete. The residents’ pool and recreational area substructure is complete. On Level 2, the carpentry is complete and preprint stage is underway. On Level 3, internal framing, linings and plastering is underway. On Level 4, internal services rough-in, fire walls and glazing is complete and internal wall framing and ceiling has commenced. On Level 5, the team are continuing with services rough-in and party wall framing. On Level 6 through Level 8, back propping is being stripped back and final structure defecting is underway.

Looking ahead to September, the waterproofing treatment will commence on the roof and the team will continue installation of the roof electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services. Partitioning, glazing and services rough-in will continue up the building. The pool is anticipated to be sprayed and the recreational deck structure will commence. The residents’ lift installation will also commence.
